This vintage original and rare WWII poster was issued by General Motors to encourage the company’s employees to purchase war bonds as part of the Victory Loan drive. The Victory Loan was the eighth and final series of war bonds issued by the United States during the WWII era with the Victory Loan drive running from October 29th to December 8th, 1945. This poster features the image of a football being kicked off and we can’t think of any other WWII era posters that feature a football theme. This rare poster was probably only issued for internal use in GM factories, offices and dealerships which accounts for its rarity.
This vintage original poster has no tape or pinholes and was probably never hung up or used. The poster shows light handling wear and some toning from age. Overall condition is very good.
