This rare poster was issued shortly after the end of WWII to help promote the clothing donations from Americans for distribution to refugees in war torn distance lands. The Victory Clothing Collection for Overseas Relief was managed by shipbuilding magnate, industrialist and philanthropist Henry J. Kaiser who served as National Chairman of the effort. The program was a great success with millions of articles of clothing quickly reaching civilian refugees in dire need.
This vintage original and rare poster is folded as issued and doesn’t appear to have seen much if any use. The poster has no tape or pinholes and shows only light handling wear, a bit of light scattered foxing in places, some toning from age and very slight ghosting to the ink in places. Overall condition is very good.
