This colorful poster was created by the artist Antonio Casero and issued by The Spanish State Tourist Department in 1947. Casero’s depiction of a Spanish bullfighter here titled The “Fiesta de Toros” in SPAIN appears on a few different travel posters up to the 1960s but we believe this 1947 issue is one of the earliest. The lower margin indicates the poster was printed in Spain by Lit. Orla-Jerez and “47-419-5-421”.

This poster has no tape or pinholes and doesn’t appear to have even been hung. This vintage original unbacked poster was lightly bumped on the edges in places and shows modest handling wear. Overall condition is very good.
