This vintage original poster features a stylized view of the Stone Steps at Harpers Ferry in West Virginia. These steps, located in Lower Town, were carved out of shale in 1810 and lead up to St. Peter’s Catholic Church, the Harper House and further on to the Jefferson Rock. This poster has a 1972 copyright by the Harper’s Ferry Historical Association printed in the lower left hand corner. The printed signature of the artist and date appear in the lower righthand corner of the image area and look like “Simon” and “12/71”
This vintage original poster shows moderate handling wear and some creasing most notably in the upper left hand corner. Overall condition is otherwise very good.
