This vintage original poster features a stylized view of Burnside’s Bridge at the Antietam National Battlefield Site. This bridge was a point of major fighting during the pivotal Battle of Antietam in Maryland during the American Civil War. The battle took place on September 17, 1862 and remains the single bloodiest day in American history with almost 23,000 killed, wounded or missing. The lower left hand corner is printed “Historic Press 1973”.
This vintage original poster shows moderate handling wear including some slight creasing in the image area and edges bumped in places. The poster is free or tape and has no pinholes or tears. Overall condition is very good.
