This vintage original poster advertising the vibrant and historic city of Veracruz as a travel destination was designed by Mexican artist Jose Bueno-Diaz and issued in the late 1940s by Dirección General de Turismo, the official governmental tourism authority of Mexico.  For this poster Bueno-Diaz renders a scenic view of the Gulf of Mexico with the historic fortress of San Juan de Ulúa, the primary military bastion of the Spanish Empire in the Americas for more than 350 years, visible on the horizon.  A beam of light from the fortress’s lighthouse illuminates the scene of a woman dressed in the traditional Traje de Jarocha folk costume of Veracruz region with a deep green shawl or rebozo draped elegantly over her arms.

The lower left corner indicates this poster was printed in Mexico by Offset Galas and the artist’s name is signed in print in the lower left corner of the image area.   This vintage original poster is free of tape or pinholes and looks pretty well unused with only the slightest of handling.  Overall condition is excellent.
