This vintage original Swiss travel poster promoting Fribourg as a travel destination was created by the artist Willy Jordan and issued by the Fribourg Development Society likely in the years just after WWII. Jordan’s design is dominated by an image of the Fontaine de la Samaritaine or Fountain of the Samaritan Woman, a symbol of this picturesque town in the west of the country on the river Sarine where French speaking and German speaking Switzerland meet. The lower edge is imprinted to indicate this poster was printed in Switzerland by Klausfelder S.A. Vevey.
This poster is free of tape or pinholes and shows only light handling wear and light bumping on the edges. The colors retain their original richness and overall condition in very good.
