This vintage original c.1940s Spanish travel poster featuring a stylized bird’s-eye view of Toldeo was created by the Spanish graphic designer Ricard Giralt Miracle. This poster isn’t dated but Toledo’s famous Alcazar appears to show some of the damage sustained during the Spanish Civil War in the 1930s which wasn’t fully repaired until some years after WWII so we date this poster to the mid to late 1940s. Giralt Miracle’s name is signed in print in the upper left corner of the image area and the lower right edge indicates the printer as I.G. Seix Y Barral Hnos of Barcelona. This is an official poster issued by the Spanish government tourism authority and has an ink handstamp from the Spanish Tourist Office in New York City on the lower right corner of the image area.
This vintage original poster has been professionally backed to linen with some minor touchup as needed including repair to a couple short tears on the edges and small corner creases. The poster displays beautifully and overall condition is very good.
