This vintage original Swiss travel poster is one in a series created by the artist Alois Carigiet and issued by the Office National Suisse du Tourisme (ONST) or Swiss National Tourist Office in the 1940s.   Carigiet renders a painterly image of a sidewheel steamboat on a mountain lake with alpine peaks forming a backdrop bracket by text that reads “Suisse Central – Central Switzerland” and "La Suisse Terre De Beaute – Beautiful Switzerland”.  The lower margin below the image area indicates this poster was printed in Switzerland by Wolfsberg Zurich.  

This vintage original poster is free of tape or pinholes and shows moderate handling wear including some bumping along the edges in places most evident along the left edge near the upper corner and slight creasing to the lower left corner.  This poster can be displayed as is or basic linen backing, which we can arrange for an additional cost, should get this poster looking almost like new.  The colors retain their original vibrancy and overall condition is very good.
