This whimsical Mid-Century travel poster promoting Austria as a skiing travel destination was issued by Austria’s official state travel authority. This poster isn’t dated but was likely issued in the late 1940s or early 1950s. Two lovely young ladies in ski garb playfully kiss a smiling snowman complete with carrot nose and a stocking cap. The lower margin indicates this poster was printed in Wien by the Bruder Rosenbaum firm.
This vintage original poster has been professionally backed to linen. A short tear of a couple inches without paper loss at the top center edge and pinholes on the corners have been expertly repaired as have some small abrasions and slight tears on the edges. The poster displays nicely and overall condition is very good.
