This vintage original and rare poster is one of several created by the artist Tom Hoyne for United Airlines.   This poster promotes travel to the Pacific Northwest and advertises “Nonstop Service Chicago to Vancouver”.   For this poster Hoyne renders an image of a placid Pacific Northwest marina set against spectacular background scenery of pine forests and snowcapped mountain peaks.

Hoyne created several posters for United Airlines but this seems to be one of the rarest as we find no auction history and Google Lens doesn’t locate the image.   Hoyne’s name is signed in print on the lower right side.  This poster isn’t dated but we believe was issued in the early to mid 1970s probably around the time United Airlines began offering nonstop service between Chicago and Vancouver.

This vintage original poster shows moderate handling wear and a single pinhole on each corner.  The poster has a small closed tear or cut in the “N” in the word "Nonstop" and two other small pinhole sized tears nearby.   The poster also shows foxing which could likely be mitigated if not mostly removed with basic linen backing (which we can arrange for an additional cost).   The original colors are retained and the poster displays very well.  Overall condition is good plus for this rare vintage original.
