This vintage original poster was created by Dutch artist Reyn Dirksen for the Holland-America Line and issued in the mid-1950s. For this poster Dirksen renders at sleek modernist design of skyward looking view of a cruise ship tower bedecked with flags of the United States, Netherlands and the Holland America Line. The company’s clever advertising slogan from the 1950s It’s good to be on a well-run ship is printed across the bottom of the poster. This poster was printed in The Netherlands by Eindhovensche Drukkeru of Eindhoven.
This vintage original poster has been professionally linen backed with some expert touchup as needed including repair to a clean tear of several inches on the right side. The poster displays beautifully and overall condition is very good.
