This vintage original poster was created by the artist Jose Morell and issued by the Spanish State Tourism Department. Josep Morell Marcias, who signed his work “Morell” and is often referred to as Jose Morell, designed several travel posters for his native Spain in the 1930s and 1940s. For this German language edition of this poster Morell renders a colorful image of horseback riders and women in traje de flamenca or traditional flamenco style dresses popular in the Andulusian region of Southern Spain. The lower margin indicates the poster was printed in Jerez, Spain by "Lit. Orla". Also in the lower margin is document code “49-419=5=417” which indicates a 1949 publication date.
This vintage original poster has been professionally backed to linen with some minor touchup as needed and repair to a short tear without paper loss on the left edge . The colors are strong and overall condition is very good.
