This vintage WWI era original is one of the most well-known posters produced for the Third Liberty Loan campaign. The artwork by Howard Chandler Christy features a woman raising the American flag and gesturing forward as an army of American doughboys marches behind her with text that reads FIGHT OR BUY BONDS.   The Third Liberty Loan was enacted on April 5, 1918 to raise $4.1 billion for the war effort so thus the date for this poster.   This is the larger 40” x 30” size for this poster which was also issued in a more commonly found 30” x 20” size.

This original antique poster has been professionally conservation backed to linen with some touch up as needed included expert replacement to small amounts of loss on the tip of the upper right and lower left corners and repair to a few short tears on the edges.  The poster displays very well and overall condition is very good.
