This vintage original travel poster was issued by the French National Railways shortly after the end of WWII. This poster features a stylized image of a steam train crossing a high stone bridge with a cathedral visible on the horizon and colorful wildflowers in the foreground with text across the bottom that reads:
FRENCH RAILWAYS GETTING READY TO WELCOME YOU
The artist isn’t identified but the lower margins indicate a 1946 publication date and show the printer as Paul – Martial of Paris.
This vintage original poster has been professionally backed to linen with expert light touchup to a few small abrasions and short tears on the edges. Overall condition is very good.
