This vintage original propaganda poster of the Soviet Union was created by the artist Igor Berezovsky and printed in Moscow in 1976. This poster makes reference to the 25th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and features a photomontage design that seems to draw some inspiration from Rodchenko, El Lissitzky and other luminaries of the Avante Garde and Constructivism movements that flourished in the early days of the Soviet of the Union. For this poster Berezovsky renders a photomontage image of a Soviet worker in hardhat smiling broadly as his co-workers erect a steel superstructure behind him over text that translates roughly to:
We Will Implement The Decisions Of the Congress Of Our Native Party
This vintage original poster is free of tape or pinholes and shows moderate handling wear including some bumping to the edges in places and light creasing in the image area. A vertical crease runs top to bottom about a quarter of the way over from the left edge. A short tear of about a half inch on the top edge is stablished with a small and easily removed piece of acid free archival repair tissue applied to the verso. Overall condition is very good.
