This vintage original poster advertises Puerto Rico as a travel destination and the All-Year Playground of the Caribbean. Mid-Century stylized images of a Pava or Puerto Rican straw hat and Cuatro, a guitar like stringed instrument and the national instrument of Puerto Rico, symbolize the island and its rich cultural traditions.  Text on the poster makes reference to “Puerto Rico U.S.A.” reminding prospective visitors that Puerto Rico is indeed part of the United States and that no passport is required for Americans.

This vintage original poster has been professionally conservation mounted to linen with some touchup to short tears and wear on the right and left edges.  A small area of loss on the lower right corner not affecting text or illustrations was skillfully replaced during the linen backing process.  The original colors are retained and the poster displays beautifully.  Overall condition is very good.
