This vintage original Italian travel poster was created by the artist Ettore Mazzini and issued to promote the 1950 Processione dei Misteri di Trapani or Procession of the Mysteries of Trapani on the island of Sicily.   This event is among the oldest continuously running religious events in Europe, having been played every Good Friday since the early 1600s.  The procession is the culmination of the Holy Week in Trapani, lasts at least 16 hours and features twenty floats depicting events of the Passion. The lower margin indicates this poster was printed by Barabino & Graeve of Genova and Mazzini’s name appears signed in print in the lower right corner of the image area.  

This vintage original poster was issued folded has been professionally linen backed with some minor touch up as needed to a couple small tears and slight abrasions on the edges.   The colors are strong and the poster displays beautifully. Overall condition is very good.
