This is a vintage original, large, striking and rare poster for the 1950 Grand Prix of Monza Formula One auto race at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in Italy.  The 1950 race was the third Grand Prix of Monza held on the 28th of May that year.  Text on the poster reads LOTTERIA DI MONZA 28 Maggio Ore 11 – 3 GRAN PREMIO DELL’AUTODROMO.   The artist’s name C. Turati appears signed in print on the right edge of the poster.  The bottom edge identifies the printer as Grafiche I.G.A.P. Roma and the lower right edge is printed Ministero Delle Finanze – Ispettorato Generale Lotto E Lotterie.

This vintage original poster was issued folded has been professionally backed to linen with some touch up as needed including repair to a few short tears off the edges and a small notch off the bottom edge near the right corner.  Moderate wear on the fold lines and some creasing in the image area were also addressed during the linen backing process.  The poster displays beautifully and overall condition is very good.  Serious buyers please contact us for photos of the poster prior to linen backing.
