This vintage original WWII poster was issued to help encourage employees to purchase war bonds by enrolling in payroll deduction programs at the workplace. The poster proclaims “Let’s Fly This Flag” and features the blue flag with white minuteman in silhouette which were awarded to businesses that enrolled 90% or more of their employees in war bond buying payroll deduction programs. The design for the flag was based on the iconic "Embattled Farmer" statute at Concord, Massachusetts. That statue was created by Daniel Chester French and erected in 1874 to commemorate the first battle of the American Revolution fought near that spot.
This vintage original poster is in very good condition with modest handling wear and light toning from age. The poster has a light lateral crease that runs across the poster just below the center fold line. The poster otherwise looks pretty well unused. Overall condition is very good. This poster is folded as issued and ships that way.
