This pleasing vintage original poster is one a few created by Swiss artist Otto Glaser advertising Davos as a travel destination. Glaser’s impressionistic style finds tourists reclining lakeside on a summer day under an umbrella with a canoe nearby, impervious to the concerns of a faraway hustle and bustle workaday world. The region’s alpine terrain of soaring pine forests and rugged mountain peaks provide a spectacular and colorful background. The right edge indicates this poster was printed in Basel, Switzerland by Basler Druck- und Verlagsanstalt.
This vintage original poster is free of tape or pinholes and shows light handling wear including some slight bumping along the edges and light rubbing in spots. The colors retain their original boldness and the poster displays beautifully. Overall condition is very good.
